Ingredients
- 1 kg Carrot
- 1 litre Milk
- 250 grms Sugar
- 4 tsp Ghee
- 1 tsp elaichi powder (cardomon)
- Cashewnuts, Almonds, Pistachios- (To decorate)
Method of Preperation
- Peel and grate carrots
- In a nonstick pan or some thick bottomed vessel boil milk.
- When it boils add grated carrot and keep when both get reduced to half the amount as it was.
- Add sugar and cook further till thickens.
- Now keep steering till it becomes thick to halwa.
- Then add ghee, crushed cardamoms (or powder), and fried cashewnuts.
- Remove from heat and garnish with almonds and pistachios.
- Carrot Halwa is ready to serve.
