How make a tasty Semiya halwa?

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Semiya (Vermicelli)
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 5-6 Elaichi
  • 5 tsp Ghee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cup water
  • Fried Cashews and Kismis
  • Food colour a pinch (red or orange)

Method:

  • Take a pan and put ghee and fry semiya until it becomes brown and then keep it aside.
  • Boil the milk keep it aside.
  • Pour water, sugar and elaichi in a pan and allow it to boil.
  • Add a pinch of food colour.
  • Once water starts to boil add the fried semiya into that. A
  • long with the semiya add those fried cashews and kismis. (Keep some cashews and kismis separately for decorating later).
  • Then add boiled milk.
  • Close the pan and allow it cook.
  • Once the water evaporates, take out the semiya halwa out from the stove . 
  • That's it! Take the semiya halwa in a separate bowl and then garish with fried cashews and kissmis.
