How make a tasty Semiya halwa?
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Semiya (Vermicelli)
- 2 cups Sugar
- 5-6 Elaichi
- 5 tsp Ghee
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cup water
- Fried Cashews and Kismis
- Food colour a pinch (red or orange)
Method:
- Take a pan and put ghee and fry semiya until it becomes brown and then keep it aside.
- Boil the milk keep it aside.
- Pour water, sugar and elaichi in a pan and allow it to boil.
- Add a pinch of food colour.
- Once water starts to boil add the fried semiya into that. A
- long with the semiya add those fried cashews and kismis. (Keep some cashews and kismis separately for decorating later).
- Then add boiled milk.
- Close the pan and allow it cook.
- Once the water evaporates, take out the semiya halwa out from the stove .
- That's it! Take the semiya halwa in a separate bowl and then garish with fried cashews and kissmis.
