How to make Moong dal halwa
Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow moong dal
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup ghee
- 1/2 tsp elaichi powder
- A pinch of saffron
- kaju,badam and pista
Preparation Method
- Wash and soak the moong dal for 6 hours.
- Drain and grind it coarsely using little water.
- Take a pan heat the ghee and fry the dal till it becomes golden brown.
- Soak saffron in 1 tsp of warm milk and keep aside.
- Add milk and cook,stirring continuousely till all the moisture has been absorbed.
- Then add sugar and cook till the ghee separated.
- Add saffron milk and elaichi powder.Garnish with kaju,badam and pista.
- Moong dal halwa is ready,cool it and serve.
