How to make Wheat Chips

Ingredients:

  • 1cup Wheat flour
  • 1 pinch of Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Jeera powder
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Oil

Preperation method:

  • Blend wheat flour, salt, butter, oil, and water together in large bowl.
  • Use one hand to mix the flour and add water little by little in a rotating motion from the center of the bowl outward, until the firm dough is moist enough to be gathered into a rough mass.
  • Keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  • Take a small ball and roll them into thin flat roti.
  • Cut them into stripes and then to diamonds again (spread some oil on the roti before cutting into diamonds for better crispness).
  • Heat plenty of oil in a kadhai until very hot.
  • Now deep fry them in hot oil until brown and crisp. If they puff up when frying, mildly press them with the laddle and it will diminish.
  • Remove it and drain on paper towels. Repeat the procedure for remaining all.
  • Delicious, tasty and healthy Wheat Chips ready.
  • You can sprinkle black salt over the chips just before serving or simply serve. If you make bigger diamonds, serve with sweet chilli sauce as dip.
