Ingredients:
- 1cup Wheat flour
- 1 pinch of Baking soda
- 1 tsp Chilli flakes
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Jeera powder
- 1 tsp Butter
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp Oil
Preperation method:
- Blend wheat flour, salt, butter, oil, and water together in large bowl.
- Use one hand to mix the flour and add water little by little in a rotating motion from the center of the bowl outward, until the firm dough is moist enough to be gathered into a rough mass.
- Keep it aside for 15 minutes.
- Take a small ball and roll them into thin flat roti.
- Cut them into stripes and then to diamonds again (spread some oil on the roti before cutting into diamonds for better crispness).
- Heat plenty of oil in a kadhai until very hot.
- Now deep fry them in hot oil until brown and crisp. If they puff up when frying, mildly press them with the laddle and it will diminish.
- Remove it and drain on paper towels. Repeat the procedure for remaining all.
- Delicious, tasty and healthy Wheat Chips ready.
- You can sprinkle black salt over the chips just before serving or simply serve. If you make bigger diamonds, serve with sweet chilli sauce as dip.
