Ingredients:
- 4 Eggs
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 cup All-purpose flour (Maida)
- 2 tsp Butter
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 2 tsp Vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 cup Oil
- Whipped cream and cherries (optional)
How to make?
- Sift All purpose flour (maida) with baking powder and keep it aside.
- Take Sugar in the mixer, blend until it turns to powder and keep it aside.
- Take a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs.
- Gradually add the sugar powder then continue to beat until it turn fluffy.
- Make sure that the mixture becomes more than double in volume.
- Add 3 to 4 drops of Vanilla essence and mix well.
- Then add oil to beaten egg-sugar mixture and beat until combined.
- Add the flour and beat it until the batter is smooth and creamy.
- Finally add milk to get a slightly thinner than a soft dropping consistency.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease the sides of the pan with butter.
- Pour batter into a microwave butter greased baking pan.
- Cook on Microwave for five minutes. If it is not done then bake for a further 30 seconds and check.
- Take it out of the oven and loosen the sides of the cake from the pan with a thin knife and turn out onto a cooling rack.
- Decorate the cake with whipped cream and cherries.
