Carrot fry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 5 Carrots
  • 1 Onions
  • 1 dry Coconut
  • 1 tsp of Chana dal
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp of Jeera
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 2 Red chilly pieces
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 3 tsp Oil
  • Salt

How to make Carrot fry:

  • Wash the carrots and grate them. Keep it aside.
  • Chop the onion and keep it aside.
  • Take a pan, heat oil and add curry leaves, chana dal, urad dal, jeera, mustard seeds, and red chilies.
  • As the mustard seeds starts to splutter, add onion and fry until it turns light brown.
  • Now add carrot and fry for few minutes.
  • Add turmeric and salt and fry for 10 minutes more.
  • When carrots are cooked, add the grated dry coconut to it and fry for 5 minutes.
  • Now Carrot fry is ready to eat. Serve with rice.
