How to make Plain dosa?

Ingredients

  • 3 cups rice 
  • 1 cup urad dal 
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • Oil as required

Preparation method

  • Wash and soak rice and urad dal separately in water for about 5-6 hours 
  • Grind dal and rice coarsely into a smooth fine paste. 
  • The batter is transfer into a bowl.Keep it aside for fermentation over night adding required quantity of salt.
  • Next day morning, take a little quantity of batter and dilute with water.
  • Heat pan on a medium heat spread a little oil.Pour a laddle of batter and spread it in a round shape in a required thickness.
  • Fry it until golden brown and turn the other side for a few seconds and remove from the pan.
  • Plain dosa is ready. Serve hot with ginger chutney or sambar.
