Ingredients
- 3 cups rice
- 1 cup urad dal
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
- Oil as required
Preparation method
- Wash and soak rice and urad dal separately in water for about 5-6 hours
- Grind dal and rice coarsely into a smooth fine paste.
- The batter is transfer into a bowl.Keep it aside for fermentation over night adding required quantity of salt.
- Next day morning, take a little quantity of batter and dilute with water.
- Heat pan on a medium heat spread a little oil.Pour a laddle of batter and spread it in a round shape in a required thickness.
- Fry it until golden brown and turn the other side for a few seconds and remove from the pan.
- Plain dosa is ready. Serve hot with ginger chutney or sambar.
