Delicious and nutritious recipe of Carrot Pepper rice


  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 1 cup Grated carrot
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Green chilies
  • 1 tsp Urad daal
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 tsp Pepper powder
  • Ghee or Oil for cooking
  • Few Cashew nuts
  • Few Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Method:

  1. Wash and cook the rice separately with 2 cups of water. Spread in on a tray and let it cool.
  2. Heat ghee or oil in pan, add the cumin seeds.
  3. When the cashew nuts are brown, add chopped onion and green chilies.
  4. Fry till the onions are golden.
  5. Add cashew nuts fry it for a minute.
  6. Add grated carrot, curry leaves and salt
  7. Once the carrot is done add Pepper.
  8. Finally add the cooked rice and lemon juice mix it gently and serve with Raita.
