UGADI PACHADI recipe

Today we are celebrating Ugadi, the Telugu new year day.Ugadi Pachadi is made with fresh tamarind, jaggery, fresh mangoes and neem flowers.


Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Neem flower(vepa puvvu)
  • 4 tsp Crushed Jaggery 
  • 1 small lemon size ball of tamarind
  • 1/2 tsp finely chopped Green chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp finely chopped raw Mango
  • 1 cup water

How to make Ugadi Pachadi?

  • Wash and soak tamarind in water for 15 minutes and extract pulp.
  • Mix the jaggery until it melts.
  • Now add neem flowers,chopped mango,chopped green chilli and salt.
  • Mix well and to form a sauce like appearence.
  • Now Ugadi pachadi is ready to serve.
