Today we are celebrating Ugadi, the Telugu new year day.Ugadi Pachadi is made with fresh tamarind, jaggery, fresh mangoes and neem flowers.
Ingredients
- 2 tsp Neem flower(vepa puvvu)
- 4 tsp Crushed Jaggery
- 1 small lemon size ball of tamarind
- 1/2 tsp finely chopped Green chilli
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp finely chopped raw Mango
- 1 cup water
How to make Ugadi Pachadi?
- Wash and soak tamarind in water for 15 minutes and extract pulp.
- Mix the jaggery until it melts.
- Now add neem flowers,chopped mango,chopped green chilli and salt.
- Mix well and to form a sauce like appearence.
- Now Ugadi pachadi is ready to serve.
