Raw Mango chutney (Mamidikaya pachadi) receipt

  • 1 Raw Mango,chopped into small pieces
  • 5 to 6 Dry red chillies
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
For seasoning:
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 1 tsp chanadal
  • Few currry leaves
  • Oil for frying

  • Dry roast the red chilies, mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds and asafoetida for about a minute and powder them in a blender.
  • Then mix the Chopped Mango pieces with the powder and add turmeric powder,salt. Mix well.
  • Prepare for seasoning by adding oil into a small tadka bowl.
  • Then add mustards seeds. After they splutter,add chana dal,urad dal,curry leaves.
  • Add the seasoning to the chutney and mix well.
  • Mango chutney is ready to serve.
