Cabbage Tomato chutney recipe


INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ Cabbages
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Tamarind pulp
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 Green chillies
For seasoning:
  • 3 teaspoonOil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Urad dal
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Few curry leaves

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

  1. Chop the cabbage & tomato into medium pieces and keep them aside.
  2. Take a pan adds some oil and heat it.
  3. Add green chillies then chopped cabbage and saute for few minutes till they turn into light brown color.
  4. After the cabbage is almost done, add the chopped tomato and saute.
  5. Then add salt, and tamarind pulp as per taste and let the mixture cool.
  6. In a separate pan, heat a teaspoon of oil, add mustard seeds and as they pop, add urad dal, cummin seeds, curry leaves.
  7. Add the blended cabbage tomato mix to this tamper and stir well. Cook for another minute on low heat.
  8. Serve it with hot rice and ghee.
