Raita is an Indian condiment prepared with curd and can be served as a side dish to be eaten with pulav,biryani and kababs.Raitas can be prepared with different types of fruits,vegetables and pulses.Cucumber raita is simple and easy to prepare.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 medium sized Cucumber
- 1 cup curd/yogurt
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin seeds powder
- 1 green chilli,finely chopped
- Black salt to taste
- Coriander leaves,finely chopped
METHOD:
- Wash and peel the cucumber.
- Grate it and keep aside.
- Take a bowl,add curd and whisk till smooth.
- Add cumin seeds powder,chopped green chilli,chopped coriander leaves,black salt,grated cucumber and mix well.
- Optionally you could even tempering with mustard seeds and urad dal.
- Cucumber raita is ready to serve.
